Context

The need for senior commercial profiles is particularly high within the French start-up ecosystem. Recruitment is a crucial element for supporting business growth, but it is often a lengthy process, especially when it is conducted directly by the young founders of a start-up. Whether it is during the sourcing phase or the evaluation of desired expertise, one does not become a recruiter overnight. A large group can gain efficiency through a firm, but this option is too costly for a start-up. This is what the teams at Shapr Talent aimed to solve by developing a no-code solution that allows for screening and selecting profiles to propose to start-ups (via a simple newsletter). In response to the excitement generated and the business volume to manage, Shapr quickly resolved to implement a more sustainable solution to deliver an intuitive platform for both candidates and companies.

The founders of Shapr, who had experience with a previous start-up, were fully aware of the complexity of sourcing and recruiting a tech team with varied skills. This is why they turned to an external provider with significant experience in SaaS: Ludotech. The main challenges faced by our teams were timing due to the pressure to do business with existing clients and the need to build a new product while maintaining the old service (data synchronization & CRM).

Result

In just 2 months, Ludo's teams were able to deliver an immediately usable first version (candidate vs company interfaces, login, advanced filters…) which amplified growth: +100 subscriptions in the first weeks after launch. Another significant point: a drastic improvement in the final conversion between the candidate and the recruiting company through more precise monitoring of the entire process and automatic alerts set up for account managers. Furthermore, there is now no contractualization that can occur outside the platform.
